Nana/Papa PRogram

This is a socialization-based program that enables seniors to connect with young volunteers and is specifically tailored to the needs of those who have minimal contact with their families and friends and are missing out on visits. You and your volunteer will get to know each other over the course of the visits, giving you an opportunity to share knowledge and participate in fun activities and games with them. 

The volunteers will also have opportunities to lend you a helping hand when you need it. This can vary from accompanying you with visits to the doctor to helping you get started and/or with staying on task with our various health-based programs. The visits can also be as simple as accompanying you to a café and talking over a cup of coffee. With this flexible program full of possibilities, you are sure to figure out what works best for you as you get to know your volunteer.
